Getting There
There are two types of ferry you can catch to Tangalooma which all depart from the Moreton Island Ferries terminal on Howard Smith Drive, Lytton (about a 1⁄2 an hour’s drive from central Brisbane).
Micat
If you're taking a 4WD, the Micat Vehicle and Passenger Ferry is best. Built in 2004, this well-appointed catamaran is a comfortable and relaxing way to travel to Tangalooma. Please visit the Micat Ferry Website for more information on departure times and booking.
Tangalooma Passenger Ferry
If you're not taking a 4WD, you can also think about taking one of Tangalooma's high speed passenger catamarans. Departing up to 3 times a day, these ferries will drop you directly on the Tangalooma Jetty where it's just a short walk to the beach house. We can also arrange a transfer for you. Please check the Tangalooma Website for departure times and booking information.
